Information for all students in the English programs
For all chemistry students in the English programs (Chemistry BSc and Chemistry MSc), teaching is planned using online methods in the fall semester, except for diploma research work.
Special information for freshmen students
It is now nearly 100% that we start our classes online for all our freshmen students regardless of where they stay (in Hungary or in your home country). For now, it is planned that classes remain online until all our students arrive. If all Freshmen in the same study program arrive at Pécs, the teaching can be switched back to face-to-face unless the COVID-19 pandemic requires differently. The reason behind this decision is simply that many of you are facing difficulties to even get an appointment at any of the closest Hungarian Embassy, as it is closed. So there is only a little chance to receive a Hungarian Visa and arrive on time before the study term starts.
The online enrolment has been started already in the Neptun Integrated Study System. You should have got your personal Neptun ID and password combo. And a detailed pictograms descriptions about how to carry out the enrolment. Here is the link: https://international.pte.hu/step_by_step_guide_enrollment_and_regsitration#. When you have done it, (Matriculation Card as it calld in Neptun), please do not forget to sign it, scan it and upload it back!
If you have any questions regarding the Neptun enrolment, you can write an email directly to Ms Nur Silaban at firstname.lastname@example.org as she is going to be your administrative officer at the Registrar's Office at the Faculty of Sciences. If you make your semester passive, you can do so, altough you also have to sign it, scan it and upload it back! Please be aware that the most of our BSc and MSc programs do NOT have February/Spring intake.
Neptun Enrolment (25th August - 7th September 2020)
Please make sure that you carry out the online enrolment by this date; the system is going to close down promptly at 24:00 on 7th September 2020. If you miss it you have to submit a 'Late Enrolment' request online via Neptun.
Start of the semester
The online teaching will be realized via MS Teams365 (online communication platform) and it requires in advance to take up (register) your courses in Neptun. For this reason, the course registration period is going to be extended for you by one extra week and the teaching period is going to be postponed with one week for the same reason.
The first-week to-do list (from Monday to Friday, between 7th and 11th September 2020):
- Course (subjects) registration period
- Get to know the use of MS Teams and find your groups (https://international.pte.hu/microsoft_teams_users_guide)
- Request Student Status Certificate from the Registrar's Office for the further purposes (e.g. Residence Permit, open up a Bank Account, Student ID application, etc.)
- • In-person - Front office - Campus Building A, Room 324 during office hours
- • Online - either submit a request in Neptun or drop an email to Ms Nur Silaban at email@example.com
- Orientation - everyone is welcome to be involved on 9th September who will arrive by this day (detailed program in Info Pack 2020/21)
- Online Customer Services in MS Team - for everyone who could not participate personally at the orientation day - from 10-12 am on 10th September
- Get in touch with your teachers, academic coordinator regarding particularly to your TIMETABLE
NOTE: Even if you have finished the enrolment and the course registration early, your ACTIVE student status is going to be established on 7th September, so the earliest you can visit the Front Office or request a Student Status Certificate is upon this day.
NOTE for the fee-paying students: After 7th September when your enrolment is finalized and your semester becomes active there will be no claim for tuition fee reimbursement for the First Semester.

The latest you can modify your Learning Agreement is 18th September 2020. You have to finalize your course list by this day also in the Neptun. You have to be careful if you have planned to take up courses from different Faculties: it might be overlapping in your timetable. The first semester ends on 31st January 2021, this also means that all of your grades should be registered in the Neptun integrated study system by this day.
